When the Swedish singer/songwriter Tomas Ledin got married here one spring in the 80’s, the innkeeper had promised the garden’s apple and cherry trees would be in full bloom.
Only this was one of the coldest springs ever and the trees were no way near blooming at all a few days before the wedding. As Carl Jan always has taken honor in keeping his promises, the trees were wrapped up in thick canvas with air heaters keeping them warm. Three days later, just in time for the big day, the trees were in full bloom. Just like promised.
