Not one to argue with fate, c/o Hotels founder and creative director Jenny Ljungberg has acquired and renovated The Maidstone Arms, an East Hampton country hotel dating back to the 1850s. Reborn as c/o The Maidstone, the white clapboard landmark boasts 16 bedrooms and three cottages. Contemporary, curated photography delights guests throughout, as are Scandinavian design elements from the past and present.
Serving as the steward of c/o Hotels’ commitment to culinary excellence is executive chef of our slow foods philosophy restaurant, The Living Room is James Carpenter, formerly of Della Femina, The American Hotel and Aquavit. Once hunger is vanquished and thirst quenched, visitors can venture on foot to East Hampton’s world class shopping or ride one of our Kronan bicycles to the wide, warm sands of the Atlantic shore.
